Lazy Sunday

Wow! What a weekend that was! Massive thanks to James and Yvonne for organising an amazing fun day of workshops and freestyle on Saturday, bringing together dancers from all over Scotland. Baked potato party was awesome too.

......and then Lazy Sunday. Thanks to John and Hazel for bringing James back for another day of fun filled workshops and to the amazing dancers who kept going all weekend. And Wow! I can't believe how much tea and coffee you all drank and the amount of cake you ate! Which brings me to the awesome ladies who did the baking. Irene, Hilary, Fiona and Ashley. Thank you so much. What else can I say. We were truly spoiled.

Finally John (Dance Demon) as always provided a fabulous set of tunes to keep us on the floor right to the end. For me, and for many of the dancers (judging by the comments I hear), it is the music which makes Lazy Sundays so magical so special thanks to John.

Just 2 weeks to go till our next event and I'm really looking forward to our introduction to Blues with John and Irene Porterfield.

Many of us have difficulty dancing to slower music. Many of our Modern Jive moves just don't really fit. So what do we do?  Well actually the Modern Jive moves we know will fit with just a little adaptation and John and Irene will show us how.  We will learn how to connect with the music and with our partner.  

Get yourself along for what promises to be a very worthwhile class followed by 4 hrs of chilled music to practice what you've learned.

and welcome to our website.

This is our first attempt at a more unified and, we hope, professional look.  Do you like our logo?  We hope that you will come to recognise it and it will draw your attention to anything we publish about upcoming events.

We aim to run Lazy Sunday three or four times a year which we think is enough to give you something to look forward to but not enough to make you bored with us.  Do you agree?  Would you like more?

Many of you have recently expressed an interest in Blues dancing so at our October event we will have a 1hr workshop for beginners taught by John and Irene Porterfield.  We hope that you enjoy it but we are very keen for your feedback.  Would you like more Blues or can we bring you something else?
